- Darren and I attended a job last week, repeat customer wanting the same job again.
- No Problems, 3 small lounge suites with some minor marks. But embarrassingly, we got a call back, saying that we missed a few spots on one settee!
- So off I went, to inspect and sort out the issue. I get there, and sure enough, there are a couple of faint marks on a wool/elastane blend fabric.
- Righto, out with my trusted spot remover and no sooner do I wet the fabric, than the mark disappears! What the…?
- So, I dry it off with a hair dryer. There’s the spot again. Dry it, and it’s back! Seems that the fabric darkens just enough when wet to hide the marks!!
- So it was a case of clean, dry and then re-inspect and make sure they’ve gone!
- Why am I telling you this? Because things don’t always go the way we want, but if they do go pear-shaped, we look after our customers! In this case she offered to pay for the extra work, but I could not in all faith bring myself to charge her; clean is what she paid for and clean was what she got!
- Fresh Aire, making sure you get value for your dollar spend!
